Corsica has numerous small villages and hamlets of interest, very often inland in exceptionally scenic settings. Among the most popular 'groups' of villages are those inland from Calvi, and the hill villages of Castagniccia towards the east, but many other areas also feature notable villages and clusters of hamlets.

Lumio is a hilltop village overlooking the Golfe de Calvi. The village is surrounded by olive trees and the beautiful 'maquis' scrub land.
